Shelby R-103 Die Cast Model
The great news here is that the Shelby R-103 # 201 Walt Hane die cast models have been completed & shipped. These have been done by Lane Collectibles, and complete the winning SCCA National Championship car collection of Jerry Titus’, Walt’s & Freddy Van Beuren’s R models.

What we think is unique with the model of Walt’s car is that several large cards are included with action photos showing the first race of R-103 in 1965 at West Palm, FL to the final winning National Champion race at Riverside, CA. There is interesting text on the back of the card with some of the racing history on R-103 and explaining the photos. Also included is a card with a color photo taken at SAAC 25 in Lime Rock Park, CT of the complete team that built R103 at Shelby American in 1965 along with driver Walt.

EPS is fortunate to have a few of these models for sale. Walt has agreed to write a personal note on each model and sign it for each buyer.
The total cost is $95.95. Plus, the buyer will get a 20% discount for one of our EPS posters. Available now are 2 posters. One is of the blue Shelby 5S471 that Steve Volk had built by Walt. The second is a limited edition (numbered prints) of the painting by Dave Kurz of Chip & Walt’s record setting Hertz race car, 6S1669, with a background of the famous barn and ski area at Steamboat Springs. The discount will also apply to the forthcoming R-103 poster, which we hope will be available in January 2003.
